We love the elongated shape that is sure to cast a slimming silhouette on any lucky finger. Minimal metalwork lets the creative placement of stones really shine here. The diamonds flow in gradations in opposing directions to really give the illusion of movement and grace. But most eye-catching of all is the calibre cut onyx.

Calibre cut is a style of stone cutting that came about in the Art Deco era when diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and onyx were laid closely together with no visible mounting. This creates an illusion of a pure color block and has been used to make the most magnificent designs. We especially love specialty shapes like this, which create an unusual channel of color within a piece of jewelry. The whole perfect picture is tied together with that center pearl, which exists in the ethereal space between black and white, diamond and onyx.

Honestly, this is one of the most interesting uses of materials, shape, and movement in an Art Deco piece we’ve seen in a long time.
