Our Authenticity Guarantee:
Our jewelry comes with a lifetime authenticity guarantee for all gemstones. We do not sell or work with lab grown diamonds or synthetic materials of any kind. We guarantee that every gemstone in your purchase is natural. What does this mean? It means that every stone we sell has been forged from the earth and comes to you in its natural form. For products without GIA or EGL certifications, we have given an estimation of specs. While estimations are provided to us by a certified appraiser and is informed by the best of their professional knowledge, they are not without human error; therefore, we cannot guarantee color or clarity are exactly as estimated. However, should it be determined at any time that your gemstone has been grossly misrepresented, we will happily accept a return for a full refund.
A Few More Things:
The very nature of antique jewelry is that it has been worn and loved for a long time, and in some cases, for over 200 years. That being said, our jewelry may have welding marks from original casting or repair, and other signs of aging. Please review carefully before making a purchase.
We meticulously inspect each piece in order to send you the most secure of items, but as these pieces have a past, we cannot guarantee the timeline of their integrity. Love these pieces and treat them according to their delicate condition.
Our jewelry will be described as accurately as possible in the description section of each listing. There may be hallmarks on the jewelry that will denote when and where it was made. We do our best to include this information in the description section of each listing; however, much of this information is also available online.
There are pieces that are unmarked or the marking has been worn down. We will not remark the piece as we want to keep the jewelry in its original condition. Again, all pieces have been tested and guaranteed regardless of their markings.
We hope you love these pieces as much as we do.
How To Care For Jewelry.
There are several factors involved in caring for antique and modern jewelry, and we want to ensure that your pieces last you a lifetime.
To avoid scratching and stone loss, please store your jewelry separately in a dry compartment. Avoid all moisture, including chlorine and dish soap.
Do not wear jewelry to the gym, the pool, the beach, while cleaning the house, or during rigorous activity. Jewelry is fragile, so it's best to treat it as such!
Cleaning vintage jewelry can be a complicated task, which is why we suggest taking yours to a professional. For the occasional quick clean, we recommend using a polishing cloth.

FAQ:
Do you provide a certificate of authenticity?
Your purchase receipt from The One I Love NYC is confirmation of authenticity. This receipt can be used to insure your new jewel with your preferred insurance broker. if you need a more detailed receipt for insurance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@theoneilovenyc.com
A note on GIA and EGL:
While we would love to provide a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or the European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) certificate for all of our antiques, this would entail removing the stones from their original settings; a process that can compromise the integrity of antique and vintage jewelry. Therefore, we cannot provide you with a certificate of grading unless stated in the listing. However, we will provide you with grading estimates in each listing for items not certified by GIA or EGL. Our grading estimates are determined by a certified appraiser, but are not guaranteed to be exact.
Can I sell you my antique jewelry?
We only purchase jewelry from a handful of authorized dealers. So in short, no.
