Old European cut diamonds are beautiful round cuts with excellent symmetry, high crowns, and an open cutlet. We took one of the most remarkable Old European cuts and created a custom setting to show off its glorious faceting and deep sparkle.

Most Old European Cuts were crafted from 1890 to 1930 and are signature cuts from the Art Deco era. They also paved the way for today’s most popular stone: the Modern Round Brilliant cut. The Old European cut wasn't invented overnight. It gradually evolved, with many lapidarists perfecting the faceting pattern and shape over many years.

Old European cuts are spectacular for their durability and warm sparkle. They evoke an elegant, old world charm. Antique stones are a way to preserve the craftsmanship of the past. This is a GIA graded 1.91ct diamond that has really beautiful faceting work. She has life and substance, with a white-facing shimmer.
