The Romantic Period describes the first couple decades of the Victorian Era. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were young and love, and the whimsical and romantic energy of the court translated to the fashions of the time. Romantic Period jewelry is especially reflective of the youthful, sentimental, and carefree nature of the 1840s.
The Turquoise Promise Band was handcrafted during the Romantic Period of the Victorian Era. Cabochon-cut turquoise stones are spaced around the perimeter of the stone in an expertly detailed 15k gold band. The pierced metal work is not only beautiful, but incredibly impressive given the limited tools and techniques of almost 200 years ago. The negative space in the gold creates a lovely floral pattern, another nod to the symbolic and affectionate disposition of the romantics. This ring is bursting with color, a connection to nature, and years of love.
