This heart-shaped brilliant cut is the pinnacle of technological cutting techniques, evolved especially in order to maximize the stone’s natural color better than almost any other cut.

Chocolate diamonds are so unique and special: they remind us of the magnificent hues that harken the majesty and creativity of mother Earth. Artists have embraced the color brown for generations. Painters in particular, from Carravaggio to Rembrandt, used a massive array of brown pigments to create shadows and dimensions to leap off the canvas. Chocolate diamonds rose to prominence in the last century on the wings of advanced stone cutting technology and a new love for original styles. Some of the most beautiful chocolate diamonds are sourced from the Argyle mine in Australia. Le-Vian—a family owned jewelry company with roots extending back to the 15th century— saw these awesome angels for what they are and coined the term “chocolate diamond” recently.
