“Jewelry has a unique ability to encapsulate our life's journey. It carries our hopes, dreams, desires, and affections. Fine jewelry is a living testament to the past, yet it also possesses the boundless potential to craft new narratives.

I've always been a romantic at heart, drawn to sentiment and symbolism, and my fascination with jewelry has been a lifelong affair. At the 𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓮 of my work lies a deep fondness for people and their personal histories. When someone embarks on the journey of creating or discovering jewelry with me, it sparks a profound conversation and connection. I cherish each of these stories, whether they originate from the distant past of an antique diamond or the new chapters that a piece of jewelry helps bring to life. It’s the reason I do this beautiful thing, and I feel honored to play even the smallest part in someone else’s personal story.”

Mia Moross is the creative force behind The One I Love NYC.

Originally from Kentucky, Mia developed a fascination with symbolism and connection from an early age, and, at 27, made the decision to move to New York to pursue a Master's degree in Social Work. In her downtime, she stumbled upon a unique hobby—exploring local flea markets for antique jewelry from eras past. What began as a pastime quickly evolved into a passionate pursuit, and in 2013, the One I Love NYC was born. Initially curating fine jewelry from the 18th and 19th centuries, Mia launched her own collection in 2020 while staying true to the brand's principles of quality craftsmanship and the profound emotional resonance found in vintage pieces.

The One I Love NYC is dedicated to positively impacting the world and those within it. The brand collaborates with charitable organizations like Project HOPE Alliance, designing collections where a portion of each sale is contributed to the cause. Her aspiration to forge connections and uplift others ties her future to her past, and her philosophy revolves around her admiration for meticulously well-crafted items akin to the antique jewelry she holds dear. She believes in minimizing her carbon footprint while abolishing unethical mining practices, and because of this, Mia works almost exclusively with antique and vintage gemstones. This not only upholds her commitment to ethical practice and sustainability but allows for every piece she designs to be one-of-a-kind.

Mia currently resides in Manhattan with her husband and daughter. She’s never without a handful of sentimental rings and a necklace adorned with her daughter’s precious gold pony beads. Enveloped by a supportive circle of women, Mia believes that the profound influence of community is the secret to a well-lived life.
