One of our favorite bedtime stories hails from ancient Persia. It describes the world itself sitting upon a giant sapphire. The sky is the perfect shade of blue when the sun is shining upon the magical stone, reflecting its color back for all of humanity to witness. Truly, the stone of celestial beauty.

Speaking of the divine, diamonds were also thought to be heavenly. Ancient Greeks believed that diamonds were the tears of their Gods or sometimes slivers of stars fallen to earth. Something as pretty as a diamond could only be otherworldly.

A stone holding the world together paired with a couple of shards of twinkling stars? Ultimate power pairing. Sapphires and diamonds are our absolutely favorite stone combo. The play with light and dark, but both super sparkly, leaves us awestruck more often than not. Sapphires + diamonds were a popular pairing in the Art Deco period, but this ring is extra special because those blues and whites are set in a beautiful rosy gold gypsy ring. An oval center sapphire pulls an vibrant eccentric blue while two old mine cut white diamonds sit on either side.

This ring is certainly a statement piece, but deserves all the attention it could possibly get.
