Mark Twain once said, “Let us not be too particular. It is better to have old secondhand diamonds than none at all.” Well Mark, we think it is BETTER to have secondhand diamonds. In fact, we prefer old diamonds.

This Victorian memorial ring features a stunning old mine cut diamond. The mine cut was prevalent in the late 18th century into the early 19th, and is basically the ancestor to the modern brilliant cuts we see today. The diamond is set onto a shield shape plate of black onyx, so it sparkles like a star in the night sky. The scrolling carved 15k yellow gold band gives it the right amount of feminine touch making this memorial ring an extremely special piece.

So Mr. Twain, while we get your point of being grateful for what you have and what not, don’t smack talk vintage diamonds. They just don’t make them like they used to.
