In traditional Hawaiian belief, there is a goddess of the wind, fire, lightning, and volcanoes. Her name is Pele, and she is considered the creator of the Hawaiian islands. In Hawaiian mythology, she is known for her passionate nature, and her magnificent power. She could change the landscape, destroy everything in her path, and create new terrain in one swooping wish. She was an an incredible force, and the most respected female figure in their culture.

The pretty light green stone of our dreams, peridot, is formed from volcanic rock so has always been associated with the might goddess Pele. It is said that tiny peridot gems are Pele’s tears, shed onto the land she created meant to be gifts to its people to bring luck, peace, and success to them.

This insanely beautiful Victorian choker has a enchanting large oval peridot front and center. The green beauty is surrounded by several old mine cut white diamonds, all in an intricate and oh so pretty setting. Slid onto a velvety soft black ribbon, this choker is a one of a kind stunner.
