This locket is giving us lots of feelings, but not ones that leave us singing the blues. Only wonderment and smiles going on over here.

Lockets date back to the 16th century, and were an evolution from amulet necklaces. They were used to hold small scraps of fabric that had been soaked in perfume to mask the smell of life in the middle ages. Quickly, they became a way to hold a trinket or portrait of a loved one close to the heart. During the Victorian era, lockets were a staple item for everyday wear. Prince Albert even gave Queen Victoria a bracelet with eight locket pendants containing strands of hair from the eight children.

This incredible Victorian locket is in excellent condition, including the little glass enclosure on the inside to protect a photograph. The enamel is the most gorgeous shade of blue, especially with the sparkling rose cut diamonds creating the central design making this the most special locket we have ever seen. The only thing that could make this stunning pendant any more extraordinary is that photo or portrait you have been looking for a home for.
