What You Should Know: Pendant was fashioned from an early victorian brooch. Stones are not foiled. We are happy to create chain in custom sized, simply email us!

Edgar Allan Poe once wrote, “Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.”

But what if the tears themselves are the things of beauty? That’s what we felt when we spotted these gorgeous teardrop shaped antique diamonds in a Victorian brooch. Teardrop shape diamonds are especially beautiful to us because of the ancient Greek legend that says diamonds found in the ground were actually fallen tears of their gods.

Converted from components of a brooch, a pristinely cut pear diamond is suspended from a sparkling round diamond. Strung onto a warm yellow gold chain, we love the contrast against the glittering diamonds with that specific Victorian shadowy style. After seeing how these twinkle in the light, we shed a few happy tears of our own.
