What You Should Know: Stones have been de-foiled. Converted from an antique brooch.

If it isn’t painfully obvious by now, we’ll let it be known again loud and proud. We love antique jewelry. The craftsmanship and quality of handmade pieces have an allure to us that is inarticulable. We especially love antique diamond cuts, all done by hand often only by candlelight, that amazes us far more than any perfectly machine cut stone can. Not to mention the stories they could tell. BUT, we do know that despite our love for vintage baubles, we are modern women, and our clients are modern women. And so our new obsession of converting centuries old pieces into something that is coveted today is born. We love mixing the old with the new, and these Georgian Diamond Ear climbers are the perfect example why.

Ear climbers are just plain cool, but they weren’t really worn in the 1700s and 1800s. They made an appearance in the Retro era and it seems as though the are back on the scene. When we saw a Georgian piece with a scalloped silhouette, we knew part of it would make the perfect old/ new ear climbers. The old mine cut diamonds in these earrings are so twinkly and beautiful, they are unmistakably antique diamonds. Imagine how they may have once dazzled at a formal ball.  A perfect update to an antique piece (we definitely think it has retained its age old magic!) for a modern trend.
