What You Should Know: Beautiful multi-colored enamel

We’ve found a ring that is just begging to become all yours. Just take a look at that blank signet face, pleading for your (or your loved ones) initials to be scrolled upon it. Is there anything better than an antique piece with a long history to tell, that you can still personalize and make all your own? We don’t think so.

What makes this 130 year old ring extra special is the beautiful enamel work that decorates the entire shank. Enamel work was pretty popular in the late 19th century, but its rare we find pieces with multiple colors of enamel interacting with each other. Black, white, and a very pretty shade of blue grey enamel create a scroll around the ring in a floral and foliage like pattern. Flowers were a major inspiration during this time period, most often representing love, happiness, and bliss. With the cheerful little flowers, multi colored enamel, and warm 18k yellow gold, this Victorian ring is a dream.

The craftsmanship and skill it takes to create a piece of art like this enameled ring is unbelievable. The ultimate “they don’t make them like they used to” piece. An impressive and enchanting ring, anyone would be lucky to boast.
