The cameo, or carving of a stone with a raised image, became increasingly popular in the Victorian Era.   Cameos could feature portraits of Greek and Roman women, mythological figures, or subjects of famous paintings.  Queen Victoria preferred cameo jewelry and, throughout her reign, cameos became a prominent trend in rings and bracelets.  Also during the Victorian Era, cameos were carved in a larger assortment of stones, including coral.  The Diamond and Coral Cameo Ring is a 10k gold ring with a large front panel, featuring the portrait of a woman engraved in coral.  The cameo is surrounded by delicately engraved gold and is highlighted by two diamonds.  In a cool size 7.5, The Diamond and Coral Ring is the essence of Victorian style and grace.
