At some point in history, the magical stone of turquoise was treasured even more than gold.. The Native American people probably cherished it more than any other culture. Ancient legend tells the story of the Navajo performing ceremonial dances to bring on the rain. When mother earth answered their requests and it started storming, the Navajo people cried tears of joy. The tears seeped into the ground and became small beautiful stones the color of sky and water, and were thought to be the first turquoise.

Funny that one of the myths of turquoise is that it was a gift from mother earth, because this crazy beautiful Victorian cluster ring kind of resembles the world. The different shades of greenish blue in this ring is so mesmerizing, we are left awestruck. Victorian era jewelry lovers (and who wasn’t a jewelry lover in the Victorian era?) were infatuated with including pieces of turquoise into their designs not only for the stunning color, but to represent nature which is found throughout their adored objects.

This ring has nineteen (!!) different cabochon turquoise stones, all unique
