The Three Graces were the beautiful and flirtatious daughters of Zeus and Eurynom, and became one of the most iconic feminine symbols in Greek mythology. Also known as the Charities, these three sisters represent beauty, charm, and grace. Aglaia claimed beauty, adornment, splendor, and glory. Euphrosyne embodied good cheer, joy, mirth, and merriment. Thalia was the purveyor of festive celebrations, richness, and luxurious occasions. They were Aphrodite’s personal attendants, so they learned a thing or two from the Goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure.

The Three Graces symbolize the pleasures of life so it’s no wonder they make appearances in the art world. Classical art usually depicts the Three Graces naked and dancing in nature. During the Victorian Era, it was not uncommon to see the frolickng ladies carved into cameos and worn on chokers or pendants, though this charmer is a bit more unique since it is a ring. We love this antique ring not only for its portrayal of the fun loving soul sisters but the interesting two tone construction. The face of the ring is silver while the shank is gold. Definitely a conversation starter.. say at a party worth of the Graces.
