*This Ring Cannot Be Resized.

Memorial rings are an age old tradition, that we think is beautifully sentimental and should totally come back into style. Luckily, our friends back in the Georgian era knew how cool they were and re-popularized the trend that began back in Ancient Rome. Memorial rings were often commissioned from a recently deceased loved one’s estate, their final gift to friends and family.

This ruby memorial ring is almost 200 years old yet you can still feel the affection that it symbolized for someone way back when. The use of ruby meant passion, so we assume that this was created for a dear loved one. The deep red of this particular ruby pops against the sterling silver setting, contrasted by the 18k floral band. The band itself has an organic, wavy feel, made to imitate the humerus bone in the upper arm, which is sometimes found in 18th and 19th century memorial jewelry. This one definitely has a story to tell!
