What You Should Know: Stones are foil back.

During the Georgian era, diamonds weren’t cut to fit into a specific piece of jewelry, but actually the opposite, the piece was fashioned for the diamonds that were available. Artisans chose to work with what they had, instead of cleaving away to take the easy road and we think that is pretty awesome.

A jeweler in the 1770’s, had quite the inventory of rose cut diamonds to dream up this beauty. With 16 stones sparkling back at ya, there is still a hint of a moodiness caused by the foiled back setting, common in this era and hard to find today. The diamonds are set in sterling silver, which was the preferred choice in the Georgian era, since it really enhances the properties and reflectiveness of the white diamonds. The 18k band warms it up with a floral motif carved into the shank.

This ring is unique without being audacious which is a combo that we are searching for in jewelry, life, love, etc. right? Either way, it’s destined for someone special (and lucky!).
