It seems like emeralds have always been associated with powerful women in history. In ancient Greece, emeralds were the stone belonging to Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility making it the stone of love for them. The Romans associated the stone with another bad ass goddess, but this time Venus who embodied femininity, sex, and charm. The Chaldeans even thought that emerald stones contained a goddess in and of themselves. With all that girl power in one tiny green stone, just imagine the potential in this ring that has four emeralds (not to mention one spectacular diamond!).

This ring dates back to the mid 1800s, during the Victorian era, when everyone was head over heels romantic. So the choice of emeralds in this ring was probably no coincidence, since the gem was a symbol of love for centuries. A rose cut diamond that has a subtle sparkle and glow, is sitting pretty front and center while the green beauties are set on each side. In a floral like yellow gold setting, this Victorian ring is unapologetically girly, no scratch that, this is made for a grown up woman. A woman who appreciates beauty and knows she deserves something reminiscent of a goddess.
