It’s the late Georgian Era, these beautiful flat top garnet earrings have quite a story to tell, and we do love a good romance. This sentimental Era is infamous for incorporating the symbolism of flowers into jewelry design, and there was no other flower that represented romance more than the five-petal forget-me-not. This flower symbol in jewelry was most often given by a gentleman to his beloved, as a proclamation love and fidelity, and of course a plea to forget-him-not.

Legend states that in 15th century Germany, a knight was walking along a river picking flowers with his love, when he fell into the flowing stream of water and began to drown due to the weight of armor. On his way down he threw the bouquet of posies and cried "Forget-Me-Not my lady!" Of course, German poets from then until now have gone crazy for this tale, and use the posy as a symbolism of unwavering faithfulness.

This love story takes on a deeper meaning with the incorporation of the Garnet stone; The Garnet is the legendary stone of manifestation and karmic protection, used throughout the history of mankind to expand creativity, success, and positivity. On an emotional level the beautiful red stone represents fidelity, care, compassion, and hope, which explains why it was the perfect stone to pair with the forget-me-not flower design in these stunning drop earrings.
