A powerful ancient legend exists from the Muzo people of Colombia. It tells the story of Fura and Tena, the very first human beings. The god Are created them to teach future humans about all about agriculture techniques and the endless natural resources that surrounded their beautiful, lush land. After a foreigner traveled to their sacred land looking for the fountain of youth, Tena became jealous of the attention Fura was giving to this mysterious man. In an outrage, he ended both his and Fura’s life, and they both became mountain peaks. According to the myth, Fura’s mountain tears turned into emeralds and butterflies. The Fura and Tena crags are located in Colombia, where the world’s most prized emeralds are found to this day.

This Edwardian ring features bright and beautiful Colombian emeralds. In graduating sizes, these oval green stones are reminiscent of the magical landscape in which they were found. Dazzling white diamonds sparkle in the surround and are set in white gold. During the edwardian Era, 1901 - 1910, white metals were most beloved, but this ring features a lovely yellow gold shank to complement its white gold gallery (aka, best of both worlds). This piece is subtly romantic and easy to wear with its flush setting and profile. Plus, it sparkles!
