In 1928, an architect by the name of William Van Alen was finishing up a project that would define not only the New York City skyline, but would come to embody the Art Deco Period. With its structural round top with pyramidal details and layered lines throughout, the Chrysler Building transcends iconism.

While many Art Deco pieces of jewelry remind us of the architecture of the 1920s since those two mediums often mutually inspired each other, we were stunned by the similarities between this remarkable ring and the Chrysler Building. The chunky warm facing Old European cut center has triangular facets reminiscent of the windows of the top floors of the historic building. The unique geometric diamond and emerald shoulders are stacked as if they were the mimicking the skyscraper. The platinum of the ring possesses strength and shine, again not unlike the Chrysler.

We love how Art Deco features carried over into so many artforms, making it so recognizable today. This ring perfectly exemplifies that notion without losing any of its incredible beauty. An Art Deco archetype.
